Musicians from Uasin Gishu county converged in Eldoret to Pray For Peace

Musicians from Uasin Gishu county converged in Eldoret town to pray for the county and country at large to have peace before and after the August election.

This comes after the National Cohesion And Integration Commission (NCIC) listed Uasin Gishu County among the hotspot Counties ahead of the August polls.
“We have converged here to pray for the Nation ahead of the August polls. We urge our fellow musicians to take advantage of their huge following and fan base to spread and preach peace across Uasin Gishu county as they can reach them and talk to them in a very special way,” said Ben Chege while speaking to the press.
“We as musicians should be careful and work together and have a peaceful election since a musician can speak to a million people in a minute and convince” Ben Chege

They also promised to ensure that Uasin Gishu is peaceful before, during, and after the August polls.
We call upon peace actors across the County and Country to widely make use of the musicians in spreading the gospel of peace because thye know all the routes from the urban to the grass root, reaching the young and the elderly and so we as musicians should be in the front line in taking the peace message to Kenyans.” Njoro wa Trokadero Said.

Kalenjin dialect musician viola alias Kapkoma lady urged the musician composing political songs to also compose songs that preach peace.
