Nandi County Achieves 100 Percent Transition – CDE
Nandi County has achieved 100 percent transition.
According to the Director of Education Muriuki Harrison all students who sat for KCPE regardless of their financial background have joined form one.
“I want to say without fear of contradiction that all students who sat for their KCPE have transited to form one and are continuing with their studies,” said the Nandi County Director of Education.
He further said that learning in junior secondary schools is going on.
” I thank all stakeholders who have ensured full transition in our schools. As of now teaching and learning activities have successfully resumed in all junior secondary schools Nandi County,” Harrison said.
Harisson warned school heads against sending students home for fees noting that school heads should instead sit down and discuss with parents how they will pay fees.
“We have asked school heads not to send students home for fees but instead call parents to have discussions and agree on when and how they will pay the fees,” said the Nandi County Director of Education.
He said those parents who don’t have money can bring goats, firewood, or anything they have which the principal can take and put into the student’s fees.
