NEMA Priotizes of Wetlands Restoration
NEMA has prioritized wetlands restoration as part of the Ministry’s flagship project.
Thus will help in expanding Kenya’s tree cover from the current 12.3 to 30 percent by the year 2032 by growing 15 billion trees over the decade.
The National Wetlands Restoration Strategy has mapped out critical wetlands across the country to be rehabilitated and restored as a progress towards meeting the tree growing targets.
