Ngenyilel MCA: Don’t Hide Children With Disability
Ngenyilel Ward MCA Benjamin Netui has urged Kenyans not to hide children living with disabilities.
Speaking after donating wheelchairs and other walking aids Natui said disability is not inability.
“I want to call upon parents with children born with disability not to hide them but instead bring them to the limelight for them to be helped since thye deserve better lives just like their normal counterparts,” said Natui while speaking to the press.
“Let’s not discriminate against them but treat them just like our normal counterparts since it’s not a curse and no one applied to be disabled. Let us not hide them since they need education and other services,” he added.
He said his administration is poised to ensure that the people living with disabilities are empowered financially.
“Through the Ward Fund I have been setting aside some amount for the people living with disability to empower them financially, and while giving bursaries they are separated from the rest for more to get the funds,” said the Ngenyilel Ward MCA.
“I recently donated cows to them where some of them have already given birth, am doing this for them to get money and not be a laughing stock. If you want to successfully help a disabled person. Helping one in need you will get blessings,” he added.
