The nominated Member of Parliament, Joseph Wainaina, has strongly condemned the protests that are being witnessed in different parts of the country.

Speaking in Eldoret, Wainaina said that the residents of Uasin Gishu County will not participate in any kind of protest, as these demos will continue to bring more deaths and damage to property.

“We as Uasingishu residents know clearly that our president doing a lot to ensure that the Country runs smoothly and everything gets back to normal as soon as possible,” said Wainaina while speaking to the press.

He urged Kenyans to be patient since the Kenya Kwanza government is making efforts to reduce the high cost of living.

“We know that fuel prices have gone up but the new prices are still lower compared to our neighboring countries like Uganda and Tanzania” added Wainaina.

He defended the passing of the 2023 financial bill saying that the bill will be of greater benefit to the strengthening of the country’s economy which has weakened.

“We will be able to build roads, schools, and hospitals and this will help in reducing the high cost of living which has been a major problem for Kenyan citizens,” added Wanaina

Wanaina also says that the whole world is witnessing a high cost of living and there is no need for demonstrations since this is not going to help in improving the economy of the country

“ For those who are protesting carrying sulfuric, burning tires, and destroying properties, this is not going to lower food prices nor fuel prices but it will only cause more harm to innocent citizens,”he said.
