NYS to be Given Upper in Absorption in Govt Jobs

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria unveiled the National Youth Service (NYS) Reengineering Programme at the NYS headquarters in Ruaraka.
Kuria conveyed President Dr. William Ruto’s directive to recruit 3000 National Police Service Police Officers and 1500 Kenya Wildlife Service Rangers exclusively from NYS in the next two months.

He announced the establishment of the National Youth Service Enterprises, a company that will be competitively bidding for both national, county, and private sector tenders.

Likewise he alluded to the establishment of a call centre under the Pasha Programme to be domiciled at NYS Headquarters that will handle feedback and complaints about public service delivery.

There’s also an ambitious program of Identifying employment opportunities in the government, and private sector as well as employment opportunities outside Kenya for NYS graduates.

All new government employees will be required to attend NYS training before being absorbed into public service.
Guards manning government offices and buildings must be drawn from NYS to help in their absorption.

The government will establish more than 800 Huduma Centres across the country, that will be run by officers drawn from NYS.

“The dream that we had about the reforms of NYS in 2015 lives on and will be actualized under my watch. We will ensure NYS becomes the reference point for all services in this country. The recruitments will continue gradually with an aim of achieving 100,000 recruits per year by 2027.” Moses Kuria said.
