Optiven Throws Weight in Food Aid Drive

The Optiven Group under the skillful yet very meticulous hands of the Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Dr. George Wachiuri has demonstrated the commitment to uplift the welfare of all humanity and especially those in most need of help.

In respect and light of this, the Optiven Foundation has stepped up to aid Kenya’s flood victims with a Kshs1 million donation through the Kenya Red Cross Society.

Dr. Wachiuri noted:
“Our commitment to supporting affected communities remains unwavering. Together with the Red Cross, we are seeking to offer vital relief to families and schools affected by the floods.”
President William Ruto earlier this month assured flood victims across the country that his administration will support them.

The President said the government is committed to ensuring that each affected family has enough food. He said the government has set aside funds to provide them with food supplies.

He also said the government will give each affected family Sh10,000 to help them seek alternative accommodation for three months as the government seeks a lasting solution. President Ruto said his administration will take care of all the affected until they are in a position to take care of themselves.
