Passaris Foundation Partners with Rotary Club and County Government to Enhance Health Facilities in Korogocho
In a significant collaborative effort, the Passaris Foundation, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Nairobi East and the County Government, has launched an initiative to improve maternal and child health in Korogocho, Ruaraka Constituency. The organizations recently donated essential non-food items and conducted an extensive inspection of the Child and Maternity facilities at Ngomongo Health Centre.
The visit underscored the pressing need for better healthcare resources, as mothers face life-threatening risks during childbirth and numerous children die from preventable and treatable causes. The donated items, which include medical supplies, hygiene products, and essential equipment, aim to bolster the capacity of the health center to provide critical services to the community.
The inspection revealed both the progress made and the areas requiring further attention. The joint effort highlights the commitment of the involved organizations to address the healthcare challenges faced by the residents of Korogocho.
