Deputy president William Samoei Ruto has voted at Kosachei Primary school in Turbo Constituency
He called on Kenyans to come out in large numbers and exercise their democratic rights of voting for leaders of their choice .
Ruto called on Kenyans to maintain peace during and after the elections.
“Let’s maintain peace since this is not a matter of life and death, and let’s allow Kenyans to practice their democratic right of voting for leaders of their choice,” said the deputy president William Samoei Ruto
He called on the IEBC to ensure that the election process is free and fair elections.
“I want to call upon IEBC which is an independent body to ensure the exercise will be free and fair elections. We want them to give Kenyans leaders of their choice,” said Ruto while speaking to the press.
Deputy president William Ruto who resides in Uasin Gishu County will be facing the opposition leader Raila Odinga who will be voting for the 5th time.
Ruto is vying for presidency for the first time.
