Police Assures Justice to the Family of Sheila Jepkemeoi Whose Head Was Chopped off
Police have assured justice to the family of the late Sheila Jepkemboi whose head was chopped by his lover two weeks ago in Kaptebe location, Uasin Gishu County.
According to Eldoret West OCPD Edward Masibo, has said that they have already arrested suspects and the case is pending before the court.
Eldoret court had allowed the police to hold the other two suspects for 20 days pending completion of investigations into the murder incident and also recovery of the woman’s head.
“So far we have arrested three suspects and recovered a murder weapon and also the motorcycle which was used to transport the head to be disposed of in River Sosiani,” Stated the OCPD.
The family of the Victim insisted that they would not bury their kin until the head was recovered, luckily on Wednesday the police were able to recover the victim’s head three kilometers from the murder scene.
Sheila Jepkemboi, the body was buried yesterday and the burial was attended by family members and close friends.
According to the police, the case is suspected to be a love triangle issue where they had a disagreement with his lover who chopped off her head.
It is said that the slain woman had separated from her estranged husband and relocated to the Kivola trading center where she had rented a one-bedroomed house.
Recently cases of Love triangles have been increasing in the country where couples kill each other.
