Police Investigate Suspicious Deaths in Kisii County
Authorities in Kisii County are investigating the suspicious deaths of two individuals, including a 23-year-old woman whose body was found dumped in Menyinkwa Mwamoriongo village. The woman, identified as Julia Kerubo, was discovered in a remote area under unclear circumstances, prompting concerns about foul play.
Local police have arrested her husband, 27-year-old Duncan Omae, in connection with her death. Omae is currently being held at the Kisii Police Station while police from the Kiogoro Police Station lead the investigation. Authorities suspect that Omae may be responsible for Kerubo’s murder, though the exact cause of death has not been publicly confirmed.
The body of the deceased woman has been transferred to the Kisii Referral Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem examination, which will help determine the exact cause of her death.
In an unrelated case, the body of an unidentified middle-aged man was discovered along a road leading from Menyinkwa to Otamba in Riongoso village. The man is believed to have suffered severe head injuries and other wounds. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, but his identity remains unknown.
As of now, authorities are working to establish whether the two deaths are linked in any way or if they were separate incidents. Local residents are on edge as police continue their efforts to bring clarity to the situation.
The investigations are ongoing, and more details are expected as police gather evidence and conduct further inquiries.
