President Ruto Inaugurates the Eldoret Arboretum
President William Ruto officially inaugurated the Eldoret Arboretum.
According to Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii the arboretum signifies the recognition and celebration of our city’s rich history, poised to become famous worldwide through the wall of fame that displays outstanding athletes who have earned us the esteemed title of the “City of Champions.”
He says the presence of a diverse range of trees and plant species not only improves the overall aesthetics of the area but also enhances the president’s clarion call of planting 15 billion trees.
“The tree planting exercise today demonstrates our collective commitment to preserving and safeguarding our environment for future generations,” he said.
In attendance were Chief Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, the Chairperson of the Council of Governors, Hon. Ann Waiguru, governors, senators, members of the National Assembly, among other leaders.
