President William Ruto to Visit Uasin Gishu This Sunday
President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua are expected to attend a Thanksgiving service at A.I.C Kamagut West, Turbo Sub-county, Uasin Gishu County.
Speaking to the press Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii alias Koti Moja said all is set for the event and they expect thousands of residents to attend.
“President William Ruto who is the 5th president of the Republic of Kenya and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua and other leaders this Sunday of the 23rd October 2022 will be attending a church service at A.I.C Kamagut which is just a few kilometers from Eldoret town. We welcome all to this auspicious occasion where we will thank God for the victory he gave us,” said Uasin Gishu governor.
President Ruto will be accompanied by both local and National leaders.
“We will also have other National and local leaders who will accompany him I urge you all to come out in large numbers and welcome president Ruto who come from the region,” said the Uasin Gishu County second governor.
The event will start at 8:00 am and are expected to be seated.
“Let us ensure that we keep time and welcome our president in his home town, let us show him some love as he visits his home county for the first time. Let’s come in large numbers to celebrate him,” said the Uasin Gishu governor.
President William Ruto who hails from the region has never stepped foot in the County since he was declared the winner of the August polls.
Ruto defeated his close competitor Raila Odinga who is now the opposition leader.
