Prof. Cheserek holds talks with Kenya Red Cross
Deputy Governor Prof. Grace Cheresek met representatives from Red Cross at their Nairobi Office as part of County’s efforts of seeking more partners.
The Deputy Governor met Ahmed Idris, the current Deputy Secretary General and Executive Director International Centre for Humanitarian Affairs (ICHA) at Redcross and Esther Chege North Rift Regional manager and discussed among issues promoting working relationship with the international charity organisation.
” I look forward towards the improvement of our working relationship with KRCS. We need more partnership in the areas of disaster management, women and youth empowerment, environment, water, Sanitation & hygiene and food security,” she said.
Prof. Cheserek was taken through the organisation’s emergency operation centre (E.O.C) that conducts effective internal and external operations, coordination during response and early recovery should disasters break across Kenya.
KRCS promised to intensify humanitarian support to the County.
