Residents Of Bumula, Sirisia To Be Connected To Safe Water
Residents of Bumula and Sirisia sub counties will soon be connected to clean and safe water through the USD 24 Million USAID funded Western kenya water Project.
This was revealed today by acting CECM for water Bonventure Chengeck after hosting the USAID team led by the Deputy Chief of Party, Calvince Odera who is in charge of the Western Kenya water Project (WKWP)
The 5 year Project aims at helping Bungoma increase its access to clean water by installing new water lines, rehabilitation of non-functional water infrastructure and drilling and equipping of boreholes.
Chengeck noted the need for supporting locals engaging in tree farming and especially those with traditional trees that can be planted in water catchment areas.
