Revealed Names of 14 Suspects Who Stoned Raila Odinga’s Chopper
The names of 14 suspects who were involved in the stoning of the opposition leader Rail Odinga’s Chopper during the burial of Mzee Jackson Kibor have been revealed.
Odinga had attended the burial ceremony of his long-term friend Jackson Kibor who died after a long illness.
The suspects who were arrested include Rodgers Kiplimo Mandi aged 38 yrs, Justin Kipkorir Muge turgen aged 30 years, and Kenneth Kipkogei Sawe 30yrs found with Kshs 1250 in 50 Shillings denomination, William Samal Erupe Turkana 41 years, Cleophas Cheboi tugen 35 yrs, Eliud Kimeli Keiyo 27yrs.
Othere include Elias Kiplagat Nandi aged 22yrs ,Abednego Kemboi Nandi 32yrs found in possession of Kshs 5400 among them 1600 was in 50 Shillings denomination. He is a brother to Hon Talam MCA Soi, Elvis Kipkoech Nandi 25 years , Moses Mbadi Luhya 22yrs, Sammy Keter Mandi 30yrs, Edwin Cheruiyot kipsigis 24yrs, Peris Maiyo Keiyo 28yrs and Elva’s Kipchumba Nandi 21yrs.
Uasin Gishu County commander noted that they are interrogating those who were arrested and there are claims that a politician might have been involved in the whole process.
“As the chairman of the security committee we will not allow such to happen again in our county, we have been preaching peace urging leaders to be and accommodate other competitors. We are sure we going to arrest a politician who we believe might have organized the group,” he added.
“We are going to ensure we will get the person who organized the same and this will be a lesson to those organizing hooliganism and it will be a thing of the past,” he added.
