Sammy Lagat alias Arap Kuga Declares Interest for the Elgeyo Marakwet Senatorial Seat
Sammy Lagat Alias Arap Kuga a household name in the media industry has declared his interest in the Elgeyo Marakwet senatorial seat.
Speaking to the press Lagat said he has vast experience to transform Elgeyo Marakwet and that he is up to the task.
“I want to declare today in broad daylight that I will be vying for the Eleyo Marakwet senatorial seat in the forthcoming August general elections, I am up to the task and I will use my experience to empower residents,” said Lagat.
The seat is currently being held by deputy president William Ruto’s ally Kipchumba Murkomen who is serving his second term in office.
He has also declared his interest in the seat.
Lagat is a freelance journalist with a passion for videography and photography with his career spanning the entire Northrift region.
His favorite Camera is DSLR Canon 7D Mark with a camera lens power of 18-35 mm.
“As a youthful leader I will ensure that the rights of youths are not infringes and will look at ways where youths will get employment opportunities for them to earn a living,” he added.
He currently works as the communication consultant of Keiyo South MP Daniel Rono, he has also dealt with the cooperate world as well as learning institutions and has good conduct with other journalists.
Lagat is always thrived in producing quality images and videos in a bid to serve his clients well,he is widely known by business bigwigs who he has been serving in his photography works.
Among his clients include Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago, Zedekiah Bindotich alias Buzeki, governor Alex Tolgos, Daniel Rono, William Chepkut, Jackson Kiptanui, Major John Seii, Susan Chebet, Micah Kigen among others.
“When I am not doing my camera work I am on my farm tending my potatoes and cabbages and diary activities.
