Senate Committee Evaluates Key Development Projects in Trans Nzoia
This afternoon, the Senate Committee on County Public Investment and Special Funds conducted a site visit in Trans Nzoia to assess the progress of two significant development projects: the Kitale Multistorey Business Complex and the Wamalwa Kijana Teaching and Referral Hospital (WKTRH).
The visit aimed to evaluate the current status of these projects, which have experienced delays in completion. Members of the committee toured the facilities and engaged with local officials to discuss the challenges and potential solutions for moving forward.
The Kitale Multistorey Business Complex is designed to enhance local commerce, providing space for businesses and contributing to economic growth in the region. Meanwhile, WKTRH is expected to significantly improve healthcare access for the community, addressing the pressing need for quality medical services.
During the visit, committee members emphasized the importance of these projects to the county’s development agenda and pledged to support efforts to expedite their completion. The insights gathered during this assessment will guide future funding and resource allocation.
Governor George Natembeya welcomed the committee, highlighting the critical role these projects play in the county’s growth and the well-being of its residents. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to overcoming obstacles and ensuring that these initiatives reach fruition.
The Senate’s ongoing engagement with county projects underscores a collaborative effort to enhance infrastructure and services across Kenya, ensuring that communities can thrive.
