Shock as 22-year-old woman is beaten to death over Ksh6,000
The suspects are alleged to have dragged the deceased back into their house after their search failed to bear fruits.
Police said that the suspects locked her up inside the house and beat her merciless – and left her nursing serious body injuries.
“After hearing her cries, we rushed to the scene, broke the door and rescued her. She was badly injured, and we rushed her to Bikeke hospital.”
Police in Trans Nzoia are investigating the gruesome murder of Loreen Wafula, a 22-year-old woman allegedly killed on suspicion of stealing Ksh6,000 from a neighbour’s house.
The killing of the young woman that occured on Monday has left residents of Machungwa village in Kiminini constituency in shock.
The incident that was reported at Bikeke police station.
According to witnesses, the young woman was bludgeoned to death by three men who accused her of stealing their money.
The three suspects are alleged to have stormed Ms Wafula’s brother-in-law’s compound accusing shouting and accusing the lady of stealing.
“The neighbours had sold a sheep and kept the money inside their house, but later learned that someone had taken the money. It was then that a neighbour told them that he had seen the deceased leaving the house,” said Loreen’s aunt Ann Wekesa.

Trans Nzoia police commander Jecinter Wesonga said that the police have launched investigations into the incident.
“We are asking residents to come forward and help the police with investigations. All we are asking for is some time so that we can complete our investigations,” said the officer.
The body of the deceased was transferred to Cherangani morgue
