Tenders for roads to open up Bungoma are set to be advertised next week Bungoma governor Kenneth Lusaka has said .
Speaking at Kibuk Primary School in Mt Elgon during the thanksgiving ceremony for Bungoma deputy governor Pastor Janepher Mbatiany, lusaka assured residents that he was committed to realizing his campaign manifesto that included opening of roads infrastructure in the entire county .
“We are going to advertise tenders for roads construction and maintenance next week and this will go along way fixing some of the dilapidated roads in the county,” he added.
Lusaka at the same time said he will roll out a series of development activities which will change the face of Bungoma county.
The National Assembly Speaker on his side assured esidents that he will push for new delimitation of constituency boundaries within Bungoma county observing that most constituencies in Bungoma had a very high population hampering service delivery.
“I will be the champion for your interests. I know here in Bungoma there are four constituencies that need to be subdivided. I will work with other leaders to ensure it comes to pass,” Said Wetang’ula.
Bungoma Deputy governor Janepher Mbatiany reaffirmed her committement to ensure that Bungoma residents get value for their money .
“I don’t take it for granted that I was picked as the deputy governor ,as a reciprocation to our people I will ensure that I help my boss deliver all his manifesto,” Said Mbatiany.
Health Cabinet Secretary Dr Susan Nakhumicha called on Bungoma residents to enlist themselves with NHIF to access healthcare.
“I urge you to register with NHIF so as to have access to the healthcare, our President Dr William Ruto is determined to ensure residents have access to affordable healthcare,” she said.
