TENP Distributes 2595 Ahead of the Monday’s Tree Planting Exercise
The Eldoret National Polytechnic Environment team led by Mr Jonathan Ngeno Environment Officer distributed Tree Seedlings to Members of Staff.
This is ahead of the National tree planting day.
According to the chief principal Charles Koech, 2595 seedlings were distributed to members of the staff.
“Today we have distributed over 2595 trees to our staff ahead of the tree planting exercise on Monday. This is in line with President William Ruto’s directive on the need for all of us to make tree planting part of our culture, ” the Chief Principal said.
He noted that this is the only way that will help to mitigate climate change and raise the forest cover to internationally accepted levels.
“President Ruto has set a target of 15 billion trees by 2032 and to achieve this, all of us have a role to play, ” he added.
