Trans Nzoia County Department of Health Wins Best Stand Display and Services
The Trans Nzoia County Department of Health has won the best stand Display and services in the health sector and pharmaceuticals stand at the ongoing Kitale National Agricultural society of Kenya ASK Show.
The award was received by the CEC Member for Health Joseph Pepelah, who commended the dedication and hard work of the department’s staff. He said the department was able to showcase and offer different health services at the show, including Chronic Diseases management, Family planning, Mental and Palliative care, Public Health, Nutrition, Eye care, tooth check-ups, and beyond Zero mobile clinic medical services van. More than 5,000 people have been checked and treated.
The in charge of Health promotion services Trans Nzoia County Leah Okumu applauded the effort of the county health staff who support the effort to offer medical services at the Kitale national Show. She said it was through their efforts that the department was able to scoop the best price.
Mrs Okumu said in line with Governor George Natembeya’s agenda on universal health care to the people of Trans Nzoia through the Nate Care initiative, the department of health promotion is working hand in hand with other units in the health sector to ensure that the agenda is achieved.
“The award is a reflection of the department’s commitment to providing quality and accessible healthcare to all residents of Trans Nzoia County” she said.
