Trans-Nzoia County Enhances Healthcare with New Equipment Delivery
In a significant boost to healthcare services, Wamalwa Kijana Teaching and Referral Hospital received a consignment of 20 renal machines and 10 beds today, marking a pivotal step towards improving patient care in the region.
Governor George Natembeya announced that the arrival of this new equipment will substantially enhance health services in Trans-Nzoia County, particularly in the dialysis process. “Previously, our facilities operated with just five renal machines, leading to overcrowding and requiring patients to endure up to three sessions a day,” the governor stated. “This new equipment will alleviate that congestion and provide our residents with the care they deserve.”
Governor Natembeya emphasized his administration’s commitment to ensuring accessible and affordable health services. “We are dedicated to transforming our healthcare system, and this investment is a crucial part of that mission,” he said.
In addition to the new equipment, Governor Natembeya outlined several strategic measures implemented by his administration to tackle ongoing challenges within the healthcare sector. These include the hiring of additional medical staff, the establishment of a Social Health Authority, and the implementation of a system for timely drug stocking to ensure that essential medications are always available.
“This is just the beginning,” Governor Natembeya affirmed. “We will continue to work tirelessly to improve healthcare for all residents of Trans-Nzoia County.”
The governor’s proactive approach aims not only to enhance healthcare delivery but also to foster a healthier community, ensuring that no resident is left behind in their access to necessary medical services.
