Trans Nzoia Teams Soar to Quarterfinals in Volleyball and Football Showdown
Trans Nzoia’s volleyball and football teams have advanced to the quarterfinals following impressive performances. In a thrilling encounter, the Trans-Nzoia volleyball men’s team emerged victorious over Kakamega County, defeating them in a closely contested match by a margin of 4 sets to 3. Inspired by their triumph, the football men’s team secured the runners-up position, earning them a chance to qualify for the quarterfinals as well.
On Friday the Trans-Nzoia volleyball team is set to face Narok County at Chuka University, while the football men’s team will battle against Homabay County at Ikuu Boys High School.
According to volleyball Coach Mr. Edwin Kimei the victory in the previous match has boosted the team’s confidence, and they are determined to maintain their winning streak. He stated, “Our players have shown tremendous resilience and teamwork throughout the tournament. We are ready to give our best against Narok County and aim to secure a spot in the semi finals.”
Meanwhile, Coach Yohana Wanyama of the football men’s team expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance so far. He said, “We have faced tough opponents in the earlier rounds, and our players have demonstrated great skill and determination. Our upcoming match against Homabay County will be challenging, but we believe in our team’s ability to emerge victorious.”
