Turbo MP Aspirant Want UDA Party Primaries Repeated
MP aspirants in Turbo constituency Uasin Gishu county are calling upon the UDA party to repeat the nominations because it was not of free and fair.
They said the elections were marred with irregularities.
Benjamin Rop one of the aspirant said that there were malpractices,voter manipulation and voters were bribed thus calling the party to intervene .
“We call upon the party for a repeat of the nominations in the Turbo constituency and we are calling upon the party to intervene and conduct a free and fair elections since what we saw is contrarty to what our party leader William Samoei promised us,”said Rop while speaking to the press.
Raymond Kipkosgei MP aspirant, Turbo constituency said that there were some of the polling stations where voters were voting twice saying that thye will not acceprt the rwesults calling on the repaet of the same.
“I want to inform the UDA party that we are the stakeholders of the party and we are the ownere of the party and we want the nominations to be repeated by Tuesday if not wer will look for alternative ways which will not be good for the party, “said Kipkosgei.
On the other hand Willy Korir is asking the party to consider their grievances and give them another chance to vote again .
He says there is a member of parliament who went to the five polling stations and burned the ballot papers.
“How can it be fair that ballot papers from five polling stations were burned yet the party proceeds to announce the winner?. This is unaclled for and ill intended,” Asked Korir.
