Turbo MP Warns Politicians Against Inciting Residents
Turbo Member of Parliament Janet Sitienei has warned politicians in Sondu along the Kisumu-Kericho against inciting residents to engage in protests.
Speaking to the press Sitienei said that the aftermath of such protests is fatal following the death of two residents and 15 left injured last week Wednesday.
In Sigowet sub-county hospital, one person succumbed to an arrow wound which was allegedly shot during the protests at Sondu.
“Peace is very important. It gives us the ability to hustle for our children and provides an opportunity for our government to develop our country,” she said.
“I urge my fellow citizens in Nyanza and Rift Valley in case of any misunderstanding let us try settling our differences through communications,” she added.
Three others are under care at the same facility after an attack by a group of unruly youth.
She says Kenyans should live in peace as used to before and let the current government handle our problems accordingly.
