Uasin Gishu Abducted Blogger Found
Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant on a UDA party Julius Bitok’s digital strategists Tony Chumba who was alleged to be abducted has been found.
Chumba was abducted Tuesday morning.
Speaking to the press Turbo Subcounty police commander Edward Masibo said Chumba was found near his home in pioneer.
“I want to confirm that Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant bloggers cum strategist Tonny Chumba has been found and he is in good health. The blogger was abducted by people known to him while at the famours silverline hotel in Eldoret town,” said Masibo while speaking to the press.
Masibo said Chumba is currently admitted at St Luke’s hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
“Doctors are currently examining him but what I can say is that we found him in a good condition, ” he said.
He noted that the have started investigating to unearth those who were involvedin the act promising to take actions against them.
“We have started investigations and soon we will bring to book all those who were involved in the act,” he said.
The Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Julius Bitok on Monday recorded a statement on the same at Eldoret police station.
Speaking to the press Bitok accussed his competitors goons for the abduction.
” I wish to hereby call out one of my competitors for noterioty and consistent use of violence in his campaigns. This is not the first time that such thuggish behavior is being witnessed, in the past few weeks he has insistently tried to lock me and some other aspirants from accessing some parts of Eldoret town,”he added.
