Uasin Gishu County Department of Alcohol Intensifies Fight Against Illicit Brews
In a joint action by the Department of Liquor, National police service County enforcement officers attached to the department of liquor heightens actions in combating counterfeit intoxicant, illicit brew and other narcotic substances in the county.
In a well coordinated operation multi-agency squad managed to deepen their night operations and laying dragnet to wrongdoer infringing liquor laws and regulations in town centre, suburbs of eldoret, Langas Jasho,farm,Kapsert, Kiplombe centre Jua kali centre, Marura,and Kuinet centre.
Over 1200,litres of “kangara”destroyed 60 litres of chang’aa and simba waragi’ were confiscated and number of suspects arrested on assorted offences are expected to be arraigned in court.
