Uasin Gishu County Gears UP For Farmers Field Day
The Department of Agriculture, Agribusiness, Livestock, and Fisheries is set to host a field day, which promises to be a grand event for farmers, agribusiness entrepreneurs, and stakeholders in the livestock and fisheries industries.
The County Executive Committee Member for Agriculture Mr Edwards Sawe, said that the event will provide a unique opportunity for farmers to come together, exchange knowledge, network, and get a glimpse of the advancements and innovations in the agricultural sector.
The field day is scheduled to be held in early October, at Cheborarwa Agricultural Training Center, which has now been made a research hub for agricultural excellence.
The team agreed that Cheborarwa ATC will serve as the perfect backdrop for showcasing the latest developments and technologies in agribusiness, livestock, and fisheries.
It will not only be a platform for farmers to learn about new techniques and practices but also a chance for agribusiness entrepreneurs to explore potential partnerships and collaborations.
CECM Sawe stated that it is an opportunity for the department to showcase the advancements and innovations in the agribusiness, livestock, and fisheries sectors.
Mr Sawe said that the field day will feature various activities, including live demonstrations, interactive sessions, and exhibitions.
According to Agriculture Chief Officer Mr. Elphas Kesio, Farmers will have the chance to witness cutting-edge farming technologies and learn about modern techniques for improving crop yields and livestock management.
Agribusiness entrepreneurs will also have the opportunity to showcase their products and services, attracting potential customers and investors.
The Field day planning at Cheborarwa ATC provided an opportunity for the CECM Sawe to introduce the new director, Mr. Jacob Arusei, to the Cheborarwa ATC.
Directors Reuben Seroney (Agriculture), Dr. Philip Biama (Veterinary) Kenneth Kili (Agricultural Mechanization Services) were present at the meeting.
