Uasin Gishu Youth Bunge President Leads Tree Planting Exercise at Kosachei Sec School
Uasin Gishu Youth Bunge president Kelvin Kipleting has urged residents to grow trees.
Speaking after leading a tree planting exercise at Kosachei Sec School in Turbo Sub-county Kipleting said this will help to mitigate climate change.
“I want to call upon Uasin Gishu residents from all divides to engage in the tree planting exercise as being pushed by our abled president William Ruto, this will help to mitigate climate change and increase forest cover,” said the Uasin Gishu Youth Bunge chairman.
“This is in line with monthly programme on environmental conservation and combating climate change, menstrual hygiene, general well being, mental health and spiritual motivation,” he added.
They also distributed sanitary pads to female students and toothpaste to the boy child. We are currently planning for our next project.
He noted that this is a major bold step toward forming a forming youth unity and enhancing support to the grassroots level .
“This marks an incredible moment, a day we will live to remember the effort and the contribution of our youths toward giving back to the society, we also gave the young girls motivation talk and encouraged them to work hard to attain their success,” he said.
They called upon youths across Uasin Gishu county and Kenya to engage on solid programs that set to add values to the society.
“This was such a great experience for the Uasin Gishu county Youth Bunge team and a way to give back to the community we cherish so much. Things like this make it all worth while,” he added.
The association is led by the Chairperson Kelvin Kipleting (Youth president Kenya) and Kibor Michael.
