Human rights activist Kipkorir Ngetich has issued a stern warning regarding the behavior of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, urging President William Ruto to address what he perceives as incitement and divisive rhetoric from his second-in-command.

In a press conference held in Eldoret, Ngetich expressed deep concern that Gachagua’s recent statements and actions could jeopardize national peace and stability. “It is crucial for the President to recognize the potential ramifications of his deputy’s behavior. Incitement can lead to unrest, which we cannot afford in our country,” he stated.

Ngetich highlighted specific instances where Gachagua’s rhetoric appeared to undermine the government’s cohesion, suggesting that the deputy’s ambitions might threaten the administration’s stability. “We must not ignore these warning signs. A united government is essential for the well-being of our citizens,” he added.

The activist called on President Ruto to engage directly with Gachagua, emphasizing the need for accountability and responsible leadership. “The time to act is now. If left unchecked, these behaviors could spiral out of control, making it increasingly difficult for the government to maintain peace.”

As the political climate in Kenya remains tense, Ngetich’s appeal underscores the importance of unity and dialogue within the ruling party. He urged all political leaders to prioritize the nation’s peace over personal ambitions, advocating for a collaborative approach to governance.

The message resonates as Kenya continues to navigate complex social and political challenges, reinforcing the critical need for responsible leadership at all levels.
