The Eldoret City Marathon witnessed a spectacular display of athleticism as Victor Kipchirchir and Emily Chepkemoi emerged victorious in the highly anticipated event.
Kipchirchir, aiming for his third consecutive title, delivered a masterful performance, crossing the finish line in a blistering time of 2 hours, 12 minutes, and 50 seconds. His relentless pace and determination secured him the top spot, defending his crown for the second time in a row. Hot on his heels was Felix Mutai, finishing mere milliseconds behind with a time of 2:12:56, while Evans Kipruto claimed the third position in 2:13:20.
Meanwhile, in the women’s category, Chepkemoi showcased her prowess, clinching the Eldoret City Marathon 5th Climate Champions Edition title in impressive fashion. With a time of 2 hours, 30 minutes, and 14 seconds, Chepkemoi demonstrated exceptional endurance and skill, leaving her competitors trailing behind.
Akeno Martha secured the second position with a time of 2:31:22, closely followed by Joan Jepkosgei in third place with a time of 2:34:16.
