Wareng High School Sends 103 students to University
Wareng High School one of the largest days with a population of 2500 students schools in Uasin Gishu County performed exemplary well in the just released KCSE exams.
The class which had 376 students managed to get a mean score of 5.4.
“We have performed relatively well as compared to other schools, we registered 376 students both girls and boys
am happy we have managed to pull an impressive mean score of 5.4. For the first time in twenty years we managed a student to score a straight A,” said Dr Skadrack K Ngetich principal of Wareng High School.
The government recently gave the school a total of 1100 form-one students.
“We thank both parents, and teachers for making this happen, and come next year we are hoping to reach over 6.00 mean score. Mathematics we managed to get 14 A’s which has never happened,” he added.
The school managed to send 103 students to University that’s those who got C+ and above.
“We have others who may not have gotten C+ and above, we have urged them to join technical institutions and already we are in communication with the principals of those for consideration,” he said
He revealed that the school is working to convince parents that students can also do better in day schools than those in boarding schools.
“We want to thank the government for the capitation and we will utilize for the benefit of learners. We want to assure parents that we are more than ready to assist them and no child will be faced at home due to fees.
