WE SHALL WALK SAME JOURNEY, ABABU ASSURES MULOMI
Former Chief Administrative Secretary, Ababu Namwamba has assured Busia Deputy Governor, H.E Moses Mulomi of the Abanyala support in his pursuit to inherit, H.E Sospeter Ojaamong as the second Governor of Busia County.
Addressing mourners during the burial of Master Haluba Obuyu Onalo (Zawadi), the son to Onalo Obuyu, Communication Officer attached to Deputy Governor’s office, at Magombe Village in Bunyala Central Ward, Ababu said they owe the Deputy Governor in high esteem.
” You are a good man who loves your county with all your heart. We shall endeavour to walk with you in your journey to assending to the top seat in the land,” he said.
He added: ” We also owe you in high esteem for employing Obuyu Onalo, a talented young man as your communication officer. That is a direct win to the Abanyala.”
He said County Government also employed another communication officer and our daughter, Maryline Ajuma, not forgeting Chief Officer for Agriculture, Eng. Richard Achiambo among others.
The Deputy Governor said he worked for Magombe Irrigation scheme as Senior Manager for several years before seeking greener pastures in Zambia, noting that during his tenure, he interacted with residents of Bunyala who gave him unwavering support.
Mulomi who delivered the Governor’s condolence message to Obuyu Onalo and Winny Haluba praised his communication officer as very innovative young man, urging the Abanyala to support his bid to succeed H.E Ojaamong.
He called for peaceful campaigns devoid of witch hunt and name calling, noting that the greater county of Busia is more important than an individual.
Reverend Vincent Sango of Ligale ACK Parish who presided over the burial service urged politicians to put the interest of children at heart, noting that as future leaders children need education, tender care and spiritual nourishment.
In his sermon based on the Mustard Seed, Rev. Sango blamed some parents for neglecting their children instead of loving and nurturing them, thus making them lose hope in life.
Obuyu Onalo called for divine intervention noting that the late was his third child to pass away.
Radio Citizen/Mulembe reporter, Leonard Achary, who represented Busia journalists passed message of condolence to Obuyu family on their behalf, adding that the County Communication Officer was their colleague.
Engineer Achiambo recalled his tribulations when he passed his CPE with flying colours at Busagwa Primary, but nearly missed to join secondary; the intervention by former Budalang’i MP Peter Okondo through CDF made him what he is today.
” To give back to the community having supported me for my secondary and university education, my first posting was the Magombe Irrigation Scheme where I worked with zeal,” he said.
