The Internal Security C.S. Kithure Kindiki has vowed to keep the self-proclaimed pastor Paul Mackenzie locked in prison regardless of the court verdict.

“Mr. Mackenzie will live in prison forever and even if the court releases him he shall not leave that place; we shall still take him back to prison where he will stay until the end of time”, stated Kindiki.

Kindiki urged the Judicial system to work in liaison with society, stating that such an individual is a threat to national security.
The interior CS narrated how the self-proclaimed preacher lured his followers to fast while others were brutally killed after failing to succumb to death.
Kindiki issued a stern warning to all religious leaders planning to use religion to cover their evil and inflict pain on the people.
“Every person who is a leader of faith and thinks that they can take advantage of religion and freedom of worship to cause death and torture inhuman treatment should be warned that their days are numbered”, added Kindiki.

The rogue preacher had earlier complained of cruel treatment in custody claiming not to understand the reason for his arrest despite to ongoing Shakahola massacre scenario.

He further noted that Investigations have so far established that Mackenzie extended his criminal activities beyond the 800-acre parcel of land at the Shakahola Forest.

“Construction of security roads across the more than 37,000 acres of Chakama Ranch has commenced to facilitate comprehensive, methodical, and scientific investigations and facilitate search and rescue efforts, as well as identification of graves, ” he said.

“The investigations team has gathered sufficient and credible evidence to sustain a watertight case against Mackenzie and his collaborators. They will face among other charges, genocide and crimes against humanity,” he added.

The Shakahola cult caused a heated debate soon after the controversial preacher pleaded to be released only for the CS to respond in a stern and affirmative response that leaves no hope for the release of pastor Paul Mackenzie.
