Youth Leadership in Uasin-Gishu County Advocates for Dialogue Amidst Demonstrations
In a bid to address national concerns through constructive dialogue, Uasin-Gishu County Youth President, Hon. Kelvin Kipletting, has commended youths across Kenya for their solidarity and patriotism while cautioning against divisive actions.
During a press conference held earlier today, Hon. Kelvin Kipletting emphasized the importance of unity and constructive engagement in resolving national issues. He condemned the actions of disruptive elements who infiltrated peaceful demonstrations, turning them into scenes of chaos.
“We applaud the youths of this nation for their unity and patriotism shown in recent events,” stated Hon. Kipletting. “However, we must strongly condemn the few who seek to undermine our efforts by instigating violence and chaos.”
The Youth President urged fellow young Kenyans to prioritize dialogue as the most effective means of achieving lasting solutions. “Continuous picketing without dialogue will not yield positive results. It’s commendable that President Dr. WSR has shown willingness to listen. Now, it’s upon us to engage constructively and respectfully to find common ground,” he added.
Highlighting the need for vigilance, Hon. Kipletting cautioned against being manipulated by individuals with ulterior motives. “We must remain vigilant and avoid being used by those with ill intentions. Our actions should be guided by the desire for a peaceful and prosperous Kenya,” he stressed.
The call for dialogue comes amid ongoing nationwide demonstrations over various socio-political issues. Hon. Kipletting’s leadership in Uasin-Gishu County has been pivotal in advocating for peaceful means of expression while promoting unity and understanding among the youth.
