Kesses MP Among Dignitaries during the special reception for the Indian Naval Warship- The (INS) Talwar

As an International Member of Parliament for Parliamentarians for Peace (P4P), I was privileged to be amongst the invited guests during the special reception for the Indian Naval Warship- The (INS) Talwar.
The (INS) Talwar is participating in Exercise Cutlass Express 2021, which commenced on July 26 along the East Coast of Africa, to improve combined maritime law enforcement capacity and increase interoperability between the regional navies. The exercise will conclude on August 6.
The exercise is an annual maritime exercise conducted to promote national and regional maritime security in East Africa and the Western Indian Ocean
Was joined by Chief Administrative Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hon. Ababu Namwamba, Indian High Commissioner to Kenya Mr. Ashis Sinah, Indian Navy Commanding officer Captain Partha, Mombasa County Commissioner Gilbert Kitiyo. Kenyan Navy Comander Brigadier J.S Kiswaa, Base Commander Mtongwe Brigadier Abdi,  Director of Kenyan Coast Guard Brigadier Lonena
The 2021 edition of the exercise involves the participation of 12 Eastern African countries, US, UK, India and various international organizations, like International Maritime Organization (IMO), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Interpol, European Union Naval Force (EUNAVFOR), Critical Maritime Routes Indian Ocean (CRIMARIO) and EUCAP Somalia.
