MONITORING SHOWS GOOD PROGRESS OF CHAGAIYA CAMP

The County Government of Uasin Gishu,  has purposed to identify and offer launching pad for sporting talent.

In line with this, the County is rolling out various programs that are primarily engineered to ensure Uasin Gishu maintains its space as world’s nerve of athletics.

The devolved government is building two flagship projects to grow sports; the Eldoret 64 Stadium and Chagaiya High Altitude Training Centre in Timboroa.

During his visit to check on the progress of the ongoing work at Chagaiya High Altitude Training Center in Kesses Sub-County, County Executive for Finance and Economic Planning, CPA Julius Ruto, noted good progress of the ongoing construction works.

“Our mandate as county treasury, is to carry out monitoring and evaluation on projects being implemented in the county to ensure there’s value for money” said Ruto.

Upon completion, the training centre will see both veteran and up coming athletes get training and education on matters sports.
