RC George Natembeya Declares Interest For the Trans-Nzoia Gubernatorial Seat

Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya has declared his interest in the Transzoia gubernatorial seat.

The seat is currently being held by governor Patrick Khaemba who is serving his second and last term in office.

Speaking to the press Natembeya said he has what it takes and the best suited to replace the incumbent Patrick Kahemba who is serving his second and last term in office

“I want to declare today in broad daylight t that come 2022 I will be vying for the Transnzoia gubernatorial seat, my aim is to ensure that the lives of my electorates are transformed through empowering them financially,” said the Northrift Regional commissioner.

The seat has also attracted the Kiminini member of parliament Dr. Chris Wamalwa who had also declared his interest in the same.

Wamalwa is a big supporter of the Bungoma Senator Moses Masika Wetangula who is also the Ford Kenya party leader.

“I will also ensure that the county has good infrastructure such as roads which as I am talking they are in pathetic conditions, ensure that no woman will walk for long-distance looking for water and also make sure that every needy and bright student goes to school by giving them loans,” added Natembeya.

He, however, did not disclose the party that he will be vying using saying he is still consulting.

“For now I have reacted not yet decided the party that I will be using in my bid to inherit the incumbent but I will cross the bridge when the right time comes,” he added.

Natembeya called on Kenyans to continue following the directives by the Ministry of Health to prevent the further spread of coronavirus.

“I Want to call upon Kenyans to ensure that they wash their hands before and after every activity, avoid crowded areas, put on facemasks, and avoid overcrowded places,” Natembeya advised.
