The Governor-elect Kakamega County FCPA Fernandes Barasa has implored residents to remain calm as the nation awaits a rulling by the Supreme Court slated for this Monday following a full hearing of a petition filled by the Azimio one Kenya Alliance party challenging declaration of H.E. Deputy President Hon. William Samoei Ruto as 2022 President-elect.

FCPA Barasa, who was accompanied by the In-Coming First Lady Prof. Janet Barasa and MCAs-elect for a thanks giving mass at Bulimbo Catholic Church Parish in Matungu Sub-County implored residents to remain peaceful as the Justice Martha Koome led bench delivers its judgement.

“We will remain Kenyans despite the verdict by the Apex Court tomorrow,” he said and exuded confidence that the judgement will come out in favour of the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga.

Agriculture, Health, Water and road infrastructure for all, Barasa explained, will be among his priority sectors once he assumes office as the Second Governor of Kakamega County. He used the occasion to invite residents of Kakamega with other guests to his inauguration ceremony slated for 15th September, 2022 at Kakamega Bukhungu International Stadium.

The Governor-elect promised to serve all citizens with fairness regardless of their political affiliations, religion or tribe in conformity with his slogan of Development and Equality.
