This comes a day after the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua proposed the reintroduction of the Shamba system.

Through his official official Facebook page he posted “Am the Senator of Kakamega, home to Kakamega Forest, the only REMAINING, indigenous tropical rain forest out side the Congo of DRC & the Amazon of Brazil.
I would find it extremely difficult to disagree with Prof Wangari Mathai

This clearly shows thta Khalwale is against the system.

His post recieved mixed reactions here are some of their comments.

Dr Lishienga says “I am in absolute agreement Senator, Kakamega Forest is our pride and heritage. However, in Ileho and Mahiakalo areas allow our Mama’s and sisters khurenya tsikhuyi mumuliru under supervision. A permit of 50 bob for this activity is too expensive,”
