Transnzoia County set to acquire six new ambulances for ease of emergency responses

The county government of Transnzoia will buy six new ambulances to enhance response to emergencies and ease referral services in a wider scheme to improve healthcare service provision.

Deputy governor Philomena Kapkory disclosed this today while speaking to Ante Natal Mothers at the Kitale county referral hospital.

She further disclosed that plans to upgrade health facilities at the sub county levels are also underway with setting up of maternity wings in the health institutions at grassroots areas prioritized.

Mrs. Kapkory at the same time affirmed that the county administration will increase funding to the health sector with the aim of ensuring ease of access to health services.

“As the county leadership, we intend to ensure ease of access to affordable healthcare services and be assured that we are doing our best to make this happen,” she disclosed.

The deputy governor who was accompanied by Health Executive Claire Wanyama in an inspection tour of the facility challenged ante natal mothers to share their health information with their spouses.

She noted that this was vital since it helps couples take positive measures on their health lives which promotes as healthy living.
