Gladys Boss Sholei Endorses Jerotich Seii for Elgeyo Marakwet Senatorial Seat

Uasin Gishu women representative Gladys boss Sholei has endorsed Jerotich Seii as Elgeyo Marakwet senator.

This comes after Kipchumba Murkomen was appointed as Cabinet Secretary for Roads, Transport, and Public Works.

Through her Twitter account, she wrote “Jerotich Seii is a vocal human rights defender and was part of the Linda Katiba movement. I wholeheartedly endorse her candidature for the position of Senator Elgeyo Marakwet. With the support of Elgeyo Marakwet residents, Jerotich will be a welcome addition to Parliament,”

Murkomen was elected on a UDA ticket and most of those aiming to replace him will be seeking the party’s ticket.

Those interested in the seat include Tim Kipchumba, Hillary Marimoi, and former MPs Jackson Kiptanui and William Kisang, former Elgeyo Marakwet Speaker Albert Kochei, Jerotich Seii, Soy North Ward MCA Jonah Tanui and Eliud Lorpesa.
