Busia County government staff are the drivers of the Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) which the new administration intend to achieve within 100 days.

Addressing the staff during an engagement meeting at Busia Agricultural Training Centre today, Deputy Governor, H.E Arthur Odera said the new administration will ensure RRI objectives are achieved.

” We are developing systems on how we can move forward together. We are going to invest alot in Human Resource and you are going to hear our development and motivational strategy,” he said.

He added: ” We want to lead and work in a county where excellence matters. If you do a good job, you will be recognized and rewarded, that is the culture we want to develop.”

The Deputy Governor said the new administration will invest in human resource and motivation strategy for staff, allocate resources to projects and ensure they are executed to the end.

” We must manage our finances better, we must collect more revenue so that residents can enjoy better roads, clean and safe water, better health care with enough drugs,” he said as he delivered his believes and values.
Odera said the Governor is keen to build a system that works, noting that staff development is critical where decisions will be based on good planning.

The Governor revealed that scarcity of resources is a challenge but assured the staff it will be addressed despite cashflow problems, adding that all staff will receive annual insurance cover.
