Governor Bii Joins President Ruto During the Kaptagat Forest Annual Tree Planting Exercise

Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii joined the President William Samoei Ruto, at the 7th edition of the Kaptagat forest annual tree planting at Kessup forest block and thereafter a thanksgiving ceremony of Dr. Chris Kiptoo, Principal Secretary, National Treasury at St. Alphonsus Mutei girls secondary school, Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Governor Bii says the tree planting exercise symbolized a collective commitment to the president’s clarion call of growing 15 billion trees in ten years.

” This visionary goal will make our society greener and more sustainable as well as enhancing our commitment to prioritizing environmental conservation and protection of habitats,” said Governor Bii.

In attendance were the deputy president, H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH, the Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon Musalia W Mudavadi, cabinet secretaries, principal secretaries among other distinguished guests.
