North Rift Peace Summit to recommend permanent peace Solutions,Governor Natembeya

The North Rift Economic Bloc summit, a two-day event focused on peace, has commenced with the goal of finding permanent solutions to the prevailing conflicts in the region.

The summit, which began on Thursday, is set to conclude on Friday, bringing together representatives from various counties in the North Rift region.

Addressing the press in Kitale ahead of the conference, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya ,the host, expressed utmost confidence in the summit’s potential to deliver lasting peace, which in turn would greatly enhance the region’s overall economic development.

The governor emphasized the importance of fostering an environment of peace and stability as a catalyst for progress and prosperity.

The participating counties in the summit include Trans Nzoia, West Pokot, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Samburu, Nandi, Turkana, and Baringo.

These counties share a common desire to address the conflicts that have hampered their growth and development, and they recognize the need for a collective effort to find sustainable solutions.
