Rotich said even if it may require support of the County Assembly to exert pressure on the People to embrace cash crop farming, he would personally engage the MCAs to drive his agenda.
He said his administration has mapped out the county in consideration to agricultural Production citing the areas which should be focussing on potatoes, pyrethrum, coffee, sorghum among others.
He also emphasized on livestock keeping, sheep, goats and poultry alongside other ways of diversifying income streams.
The governor asked farmers in the county to take advantage of the national government’s fertilizers subsidy which he said will be retailing as low as Sh2,500 down from the previous Sh.6,000.
Agriculture Executive Edwin Seroney whose department was instrumental in organizing the Trade fair described it as successful.

“This was just a test and it turned out to be wonderful. Next time we shall ensure the exhibition is devolved to the Ward level,”said Seroney
