Mandera South Member of Parliament Abdul Haro Kore has taken a moment to share with us reflection

“As the curtain comes down on the year 2023, all the IDPs in Mandera South have gone back to their homes ,except few at Gedalo Primary school who are equally planning to go back beginning of next week due to schools opening….

The last households to receive Non Food Items (NFIs) from Action Against Hunger Organization were 500 households in Elwak North and South. The last two days also saw 100 households benefit at Fincharo and 400 households also benefit at Shimpir Fatuma…

The 400 household cash programme beneficiaries of the Deris Wanaag have also received the first cycle of Kes 19,500/= , through RACIDA Organisation, that translates to Kes 7,800,000 which is money already in circulation in Elwak, Kenya. A similar amount for the similar number of beneficiaries has also been sent to Elwak, Somalia. This is a big relief and will improve the local economy of the twin Elwak during this festive season….

What a way to end the year!!!

Balaantteenu Waa Shaqo….”
