Honestly, honestly tell me,

Why would a person imagine and plan to give or sell fake fertilizers to the farmers, knowing very well that this would destroy an entire poor farmer’s crop?

Why would someone manufacture fake alcoholic drinks, knowing very well that their consumption by the youth would incapacitate or even kill them?

Or just tell me, how does one feel sitting behind the steering wheel of a bus that is carrying many passengers when they are intoxicated, knowing very well that this behavior can cause serious accidents?

And the list can go on and on.
Years ago, someone told me:

“The corruption in this country has become so bad that even the corrupt are worried by its impact.”

It sounded funny, perhaps it still does, but honestly, just tell me, how do you explain this madness?

I guess this is where you ask:

“How evil can man be? Has the love of money made people so insensitive to people’s lives?”

The Bible says: Whoever is greedy for unjust gain troubles his own household, but he who hates bribes will live. (Proverbs 15:27)

And this is, therefore, my opinion: laws are good, and criminals should be prosecuted.

But I strongly feel we need to start asking the moral question on certain matters. The moral question is becoming louder and louder by the day, and religious leaders and other moral shapers should speak a little louder.

Parents, teachers, and all like-minded leaders need to combine forces and deal with the moral question, now and now.

But yet again, for you to take a moral position, you too must be blemish-free.

Oh no, this sounds like a desperate position, but let’s try. Probably there lies our solution.

It definitely may not change today, but maybe, just maybe, we will begin to raise a generation with higher moral standards. Again, I say maybe!

What do you think is my question today?

Is there a place for this moral question?

Great Easter Sunday ahead!
