Eldoret National Polytechnic Welcomes KICD Leadership for Curriculum Development Discussions

The Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP) recently hosted a delegation led by Professor Charles Ong’ondo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director of the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). The purpose of the visit was to engage in collaborative discussions on curriculum development initiatives.

Professor Ong’ondo was accompanied by a team of senior Ministry of Education officials, including Ms. Subira Neema, Deputy Director of Secondary Education; Ms. Jane Mukuhi, Deputy Director of Educational Resources; Dr. Lydiah Mucheru, Senior Deputy Director of Resource Planning and Quality Assurance; and Mrs. Jacqueline Onyango, Senior Deputy Director of Curriculum Development.

The TENP leadership team, represented by Mr. James Mwangi, Deputy Principal of Academics, and Mr. Jonathan Ngeno, Quality Assurance and Environment Officer, warmly welcomed the KICD delegation. The fruitful discussions focused on ways to enhance the institute’s curriculum to align with current industry needs and ensure graduates possess the necessary skills for success in the job market.

This collaborative effort between TENP and KICD underscores their commitment to providing students with a high-quality, industry-relevant education. The exchange of ideas and expertise will undoubtedly benefit the development of future curriculum at the Eldoret National Polytechnic.
